Bahá'í Resources on the Internet

Here is a partial listing of sources of additional Bahá'í information on the Internet.
NOTE:  These pages will open in a new window.

Web Pages

The various Web portals (Yahoo, Excite, Snap, Infoseek, etc.) also have compendiums of links to Bahá'í Web pages.

Bahá'í Radio

Interested in learning about Bahá'í Radio? Check out RadioNur.com.

Introductory Material

THE BAHÁ'ÍS (by the Bahá'í International Community) is a good overview of the teachings and history of the Faith. It can be found at http://oneworld.wa.com/bahai/magazine/cover.html.

A short introduction to the Faith is regularly posted to the soc.religion.bahai newsgroup (see below). It can also be retrieved from:
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet/soc.religion.bahai/Baha_i_Faith_Introduction.

Sacred Scripture and Other Texts

The Bahá'í World Center maintains a large set of the Bahá'í Writings in plain text format at its ftp site, ftp://ftp.bwc.org/bahai. The site is also mirrored at ftp://oneworld.wa.com/pub/bwc. Subject to copyright limitations, these files are available to everyone.

Another site for accessing the writings is http://www.bahaindex.com/writings.html.

The Bahai-Readings mailing list sends you via e-mail a daily excerpt from the Bahá'í Writings.  To sign up for the list, send a message to bahai-readings-request@bcca.org. Note:  you do not have to be a Bahá'í to sign up for the list.

"Prophecy Fulfilled" Web Page

http://bci.org/prophecy-fulfilled/ is a Web site devoted to explaining how the Advent of the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh fulfill prophecies in nearly all of the major world religions.

Bahá'í Schools

Usenet Newsgroup

The soc.religion.bahai newsgroup is dedicated to discussing the Bahá'í Faith. Both Bahá'ís and non-Bahá'ís are welcome to post to the newsgroup, as long as the note deals with the Faith.

CAUTION: there are two other English-language newsgroups ostensibly devoted to the Faith, alt.religion.bahai and talk.religion.bahai.  Unlike soc.religion.bahai, these newsgroups are not moderated, and the discussions in them can often be coarse and harsh.  Participating in them is not recommended.

For the official archive of past postings to soc.religion.bahai, see http://www.bcca.org/srb.

The Bahá'í Faith is sometimes discussed in other newsgroups. To find these postings, use one of the search engines for Usenet, like Google Groups (formerly DejaNews).

Additional Resources

One can also use the various search engines for the Web and Usenet (such as Google, Alta Vista, Infoseek, Lycos, etc.) to find Web pages and Usenet articles that deal with the Bahá'í Faith.

Additionally, Compuserve, America On-Line and Prodigy all have discussion forums devoted to religion. All of them have topics dedicated to the Bahá'í Faith.

Beliefnet (www.beliefnet.com), an interfaith religious site, has a section devoted to the Bahá'í Faith.

Miscellaneous
